      FIELDING LUTTRELL WILL
      In the name of GOD Amen. I Fielding Luttrell of the County of Frederick and State of Virginia being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank GOD and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life, and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased GOD to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say.
      1st. I desire that a portion of my personal property be sold after my decease and out of the moneys arising therefrom all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.
      2nd. After the payment of my debts & funeral expenses, I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Luttrell all my estate both real and personal for and during the term of her natural life for her support and to dispose of as she may see necessary, and after decease and after her expenses are paid what is left if any I give to my daughter Mary Luttrell for and during the term of her natural life for her support.
      3rd. After the decease of my daughter Mary what is left if any I give and bequeath to my grand children. I desire that all my estate if any both real and personal of what nature or kind soever it may be shall be sold and the moneys arising therefrom shall be equally divided amongst Mary Ann, Nancy Catharine, Maria Evelina, Sarah Jane, John Wesley H. Switzer, these being the children of my daughter Elizabeth dec'd which was the wife of Jacob Switzer. Also Elizabeth A, Susan, Sarah and Maria Millers, these being the children of my daughter Nancy dec'd which was the wife of David Miller. To these my grandchildren I give the above remainder to them, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. N. B. I desire that my sister Frankey Luttrell shall have the same privileges of the same houses, stables, springs gardens, fields, meadows and orchards as she formerly had whilst she lives. And if Hany the colored man outlives her, he shall have the use of the kitchen, garden, spring, the lot around the spring and that above it during his natural life.
      And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends Jacob Switzer and Elizabeth Luttrell my wife Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made. In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this nineteenth day of January in the year one thousand and eight hundred and forth two.

      Signed sealed published and declared by Fielding Luttrell as and for his last will and testament in the presence and hearing of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses.

      At a court held for Frederick County the 4th day of April 1842 this last will and testament of Fielding Luttrell dec's was proven by the oaths of William D. Engle and Zedekiah Smith the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Jacob Switzer the Executor therein named who made oath according to law, certificate if granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form on his giving security, whereupon he together with Benedict Amiss, Zedekiah Smith and William D. Engle his securities entered into and acknowledged bond in the penalty of one thousand dollars conditioned for his due and faithful administration of said decedent's estate.
