      «b»Mrs. Ida Bell Stone Denton«/b», 95, and her son, Virgil Guy Denton, 70, both of Dixon, died within three days of each other of natural causes. Mrs. Denton was born Aug 23, 1878, in Miller County, and died in a Waynesville hospital Feb. 23, 1974. Her son was born in Iberia Jan. 25, 1904 to her and her husband, the late Edmond Owen Denton who survives. Guy Denton died Feb. 26, 1974, at the Pulaski County Memorial Hospital.
      "Grandma" Denton, as Mrs. Denton was known, was a member of the First Christian Church. Mr. Denton also became a member of the church at an early age.
      Mrs. Denton is survived by eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Two daughters preceded her in death.
      Mr. Denton first was married to Helen Wall. In 1942 he was married to Gladys Jones. Surviving him are his wife; a son, Virgil Denton, Dixon, a daughter-in-law, Ruth Denton; a daughter, Laura Faherty of the home; and three grandchildren. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, a son and a daughter.
      Funeral services for Mrs. Denton were held at Gilbert Chapel Feb 25. Burial was in Livingston Cemetery. Wilson Davis officiated at both services.
