  • Notes
    • Family tradition says that because James Anderson Stone fought for the Confederate forces, the bushwackers came to Pricelle's [sic] farm and forced her at gun point to fix their meals. Each time they came, they would take a cow, tools, etc. They finally burned their farm. She thought they wee going to burn her house and kill her, so Pricelle moved to Cole County, Missouri and lived with her daughter Elizabeth Sone. [courtesy Carl Stone]
