Sophronia B. "Froney" Womack came from Itawamba County, Mississippi to Wise County Texas about 1870 with her mother Drucilla "Drew" Patton Womack Warren and stepfather Isom J. Warren. She married Joseph "Joe" McNeely December 1, 1881 in Wise County. Shortly after her marriage, her mother marrried Thomas McNeely and moved to Indian Territory in Oklahoma. Sophronia and Joe had four sons before her death July 5, 1893. Her widowed husband Joe lived in Wise County until 1930 when he moved to Oklahoma with his son John Thomas McNeely (1883-1957). John Thomas McNeely married Kemmie Clifton and they moved to Altus, Jackson County Oklahoma where they are buried with their son Julius Francis McNeely. Son Joseph Cleveland "Cleve" McNeely (1884-1946) was a farmer in Decatur, and died in an automobile accident there. Isam Claudy McNeely (1886-1887) died age five months. Youngest son James "Larn" McNeely (1891-1958) married Charlie Beatrice Samples (1889-1979) September 8, 1910 in Wise County. After the death of her husband Larn, Beatrice lived with her daughter Elma Marie Stephens in Irving, Texas until her death.
