Sr., b. 1 August 1810, in Lazonby, d. 1849 in Spring, Centre County, PA. Married Jane A. Parker, b. 6 June 1818 in York County, PA,, d. 16 July 1890 in Mifflin County, PA.
John Relph, Sr., b. 1 August 1810 in Lazonby, Cumberland County, England, d. 4 October 1849 in Spring, Centre County, Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia Passenger and Immigration Lists show he left England forever through Liverpool in July 1832, and arrived in Philadelphia on 8 August 1832, on board the Ship Benjamin Morgan. He was a farmer in England, and farmed here according to the Petition for Sale of Real Estate in the Estate of John Relph dated 1851. He was married on 7 February 1837 to Jane A. Parker, in Philadelphia. She was born in York County, PA on 6 June 1818, and d. 16 July 1890 in Mifflin County, PA. They had six children.
"Parker", b. 1790 in New York, is the only info found so far on Jane's father, with no mention of who her mother might be. However, I found records which show Jane married to Israel Reynolds from Wales (b. 1809) in 1852, and they had five kids.
Evidently John Sr. filed Intention for Citizenship documents the same day as his father (28 August 1840) and was also granted Citizenship on 6 September 1842, after swearing that he was never of the nobility and to never support Queen Victoria. I also find him listed in the 1840 US Federal Census for SpringTownship in Centre County, PA.
