      Elizabeth Jane was the 3rd wife of Wm. H. FORD and she was also the sister of Wm. H. FORD's 2nd wife, Mary Ann (ROADY) FORD. Wh. H. & Elizabeth Jane were married 19 Oct 1866 near Fidelity, Jersey Co., IL. Family history has that after her sister Mary Ann's death, Elizabeth Jane moved in with the Wm. FORD family to take care of the children. Eventually they decided to get married. According to Gideon & Christina's daughter Isabelle (FORD) ANDREWS REED, Gideon's mother Elizabeth Jane, is buried in an unmarked grave near Gideon & Christina in Kane Cemetery which is a short distance north of the Jersey/Greene county line. The village of Kane is about 6 miles north of Jerseyville).
