      Lincoln Bowmer, 77, retired farmer, died at the McDowell Hospital at Danville early Friday night. He had been unable to work for the past eight years and was critically ill for the last three months.

      He was married to Miss Mollie Shaw on June 8, 1899, and they became the parents of seven children. They are Mrs. Carrie Simpson, Gilpin; Mrs. Anna Thomas, Loveland, Ohio; Mrs. Exie Kissee of Illinois. His wife and four of the children preceded him in death, over 30 years ago.

      He was married a second time to Myrtle Baldock and they became the parents of five children. They are Mrs. Essie Scales, Cincinnati; Walter Bowmer, Bloomington, Ind.; and Jewel Stephens. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

      He was a 50-year member of the South Fork Separate Baptist Church where he was active through the years.

      Funeral services were held at the South Fork Separate Baptist Church at 1:00 o'clock Monday by the Rev. O.C. Reese. Burial was in the church cemetery. All arrangements were with the Gosser Funeral Home.
