Edith Littrell was born on November 14, 1884 in Raton New Mexico and grew to womanhood there. There she met Edgar Rice and became his loving and faithful companion on December 25, 1902. To this union six children were born. She joined M. E. Church in 1902 and had remained a faithful worker and leader in Sunday School ever since that time. She leaves to mourn her departure her loving husband, Edgar, of the home; children, Evelyn Hutton of Hugoton, Marion Childs of Chicago, Illinois, Jo Rice of Dodge City, and William Rice , Gail Rice, and David Rice, all of the home; her step-mother who raised her, Belle Littrell of Medford, Oregon; five brothers, Riley Littrell of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Isaac Littrell of Fallbrook, California, Donald Littrell of Chicago, Illinois, and Elijah Littrell and Earl Littrell, both of Medford, Oregon; three sisters, Amanda Hughes of Solano, New Mexico, Zona Stubblefield of Clayton, New Mexico, and Ethel Chadwick of Portland, Oregon; and hosts of friends for no one knew her but to love her. Although her place is vacant, her memory and influence will ever be with us.
